D & J Dunlop © 2011 Design by Dalreada John Hay was born in Bridge of Weir, the youngest of five children, and educated at Strathallan  School, Perthshire. He obtained a combined Arts & Law Degree from Glasgow University  obtaining his Law Degree in 1974. He served his apprenticeship with Shepherd & Wedderburn, Writers to the Signet, Edinburgh and  then spent two years working with Ross & Connel, solicitors in Dunfermline. He joined the family firm of Messrs D & J Dunlop in 1983.  He is married with four children and lives in Ayr.   He has a fairly wide range of interests which include jazz music, tennis, hockey and skiing.
